missingWrote a review on Dec 18cozy common areasclear communicationpoor sound insulation
The location stood out, just a short walk from the bustling city center. I appreciated the cozy common areas equipped with a microwave and fridge, making snacks easily accessible. Early check-in made my arrival smoother, and the communication from the host was prompt and clear. the room had a worn-out feel. The shower temperature was unpredictable, often scalding hot, making it uncomfortable to use. Noise from nearby rooms disrupted my rest, indicating poor sound insulation. Some surfaces in the communal bathroom could use better attention to cleanliness. a pleasant stay in a prime spot, but few adjustments could enhance the experience significantly.

I stayed for 3 nights while working nearby, and it was just what I needed for a quick rest. The washer and dryer on-site were really handy, making it easy to clean my clothes during my busy days. Plus, being close to attractions like St John's College and Midsummer Common was a nice perk. a quick bus ride or a leisurely walk took me right there. Although I encountered a bit of smoke in my room one night, it didn’t overshadow my overall stay.

missingWrote a review on Oct 23cozy vibeeasy accesspoor cleanliness
The location offers easy access to the local area, which is a definite perk. The common areas, though simple, have a cozy vibe that can be inviting.
The room was in rough shape, with blood or bodily fluid stains on the sheets and a mattress showing extensive urine stains. cleanliness was clearly not a priority. Sound insulation was poor, allowing conversations from adjacent rooms to seep in, which made for an uncomfortable stay. The internet connection was unreliable, working well only in the early morning before becoming practically unusable later in the day.

How it stacks up, my honest take
This stay surpassed expectations with a prime location only a 15-minute stroll to the city center. The beds were comfy, and rooms were clean, ensuring a restful retreat. While early check-in and good communication from the host were appreciated, minor cleanliness issues did arise that could improve the experience.

Recommend it for budget travelers
The staff were incredibly friendly! ! They made me feel welcome right away! the room had a kettle with coffee and tea, along with a box of cookies – it was a nice touch to unwind after the day.
It wasn't the cheapest option, but it was still acceptable.
